Hello! In my virtually based practice, I work with ladies ages 20+ in dealing with everyday stresses, parental struggles, marital problems, work/personal life balance, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and other familial issues. Will be credentialed with BCBS on 9/2/23

Through diverse academic and professional experiences, I have developed a unique skillset and approach to therapy. I spent 8 years as a nanny before getting my undergraduate degree in early childhood education. I was a special education teacher for Lewisville ISD for 5 years. While working as a teacher, I completed my masters degree in counseling specializing in Play Therapy. Other professional work history includes the mobile Crisis Team for Denton County MHMR and counseling families in crisis at the Children's Advocacy Center. I am currently providing therapy to children ages 10+, teens, and women using a TeleHealth platform.

I have been married for 16 years and have three adult stepchildren, a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren. I also have 2 cats that are important members of the family. The spirit of and definition family is something that has grown and has become valued over the years. My life experiences have given me insight and perspectives that allow me to make unique connections with my clients. I learned that life is ever changing. I have come to realize is that during times when we feel defeated, it does not mean we are unable to change the outcome or our quality of life in the future. Nor, is it too late to create the life we do want.

I am a doctoral student level therapist, my specialties include, internal conflict, existential crisis, grief, spirituality, life transitions, major depression, and family/marital conflict. I work with your inner self as a reflection of your external path and current relationships. My role is to provide a safe space as a neutral ally for the uncovering of what may be unconscious to you or possibly difficult to talk about.

I have 20 years of clinical experience working with adults and teens, and 15+ years providing EMDR Level II therapy (a modality that can swiftly address anxiety, grief and trauma).
