I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a passion for serving others. With five years experience working in mental health care at varying levels of need, as well as 20 years of experience in the fintech industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my work. In addition, I am constantly seeking to improve upon my knowledge and understanding, in order to increase my capacity to be of service to my clients.

My therapeutic purpose is committed to helping people suffering from everyday life-stressors such as relationship problems, family conflicts, work issues, behavior problems in children and adolescents as well as more complex mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. My goal is to help others find empowerment and self-determination through solutions such as self-care, self-acceptance and effective modalities for change to help resolve problems. My services are aimed at meeting each individual where they are currently at in their process of changing and growing towards self-improvement.

When people feel isolated or alone in their situation, they need someone else to help them gain a new perspective, feel differently, or at times escape the state at hand. My philosophy is to view therapy as if it were a "tune up" to help people keep operating through life. Just like cars need regular tune ups and oil changes to keep running smoothly, people also need regular check-ins and support for internal issues. This is especially important for people of color and minority populations because they face additional societal challenges (including microaggressions) that may or may not be overt but are often painful.

Entering an intimate space with yourself is no easy task. But with the help of someone you trust, it makes the journey a bit easier to embrace. It is my belief that my job as a therapist is to help my clients connect the dots within their lives to enhance their mental health. This is done by unpacking, exploring and examining roadblocks from our past that are preventing us from being present in the present. This type of awareness helps to foster continual growth & grants access to understanding the story behind our behaviors.

Life throws all of us (as humans), many difficult situations that at times are hard to navigate without extra support. I empower individuals and families to create healthier coping skills. These skills help create a happier sense of self in individuals, and the positive impact extends to their homes. It also helps create a better society. My approach encompasses a variety of clinical interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to name a few. I consider myself an Integrative and Holistic therapist.

My focus is on helping parents find balance, learn self-care, loosen the guilt and learn about their littles. I help those in all types of parenting roles with their new or changing identities as they're shifted into a life different than the one they once had. Parenthood brings to the surface a lot of old feelings and wounds that often need to be processed as well as figuring out which patterns are being played out from their own childhood and if there are any they need help not repeating. I have a specialty in babies, toddlers and preschoolers but assist them by working with their parents. I do 1:1 therapy with adults and kids.

Change is difficult and the best way to facilitate it is to approach it with gentleness and compassion. We are in a constant state of having to make decisions and respond with our best ability at every given moment. Many of those decisions may leave us questioning what we did to bring us to the crisis we are feeling today. The crisis may be the reason our relationship with ourselves has become distressed and disconnected.

I am a trauma focused therapist and have over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I operate from a holistic and not a medical model and have experience with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and helping with managing narcissistic abuse.

Emotional growth is best nurtured from a compassionate, encouraging, and non-judgmental perspective. In today’s society, the expectations put on us can be quite demanding, and many times, unrealistic. As a wife and a mother, I understand how agonizing it can be to constantly ask myself, “Am I enough?” Challenging negative thoughts, though it may be difficult, is worth the risk. Living a fulfilling, happy, and productive life is priceless.

As a therapist, I aim to meet my clients where they are and provide guidance and skill development that allows them to meet their goals. I work with substance use, addiction, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief and loss, suicidality, and expected and unexpected life changes.
