My therapeutic philosophy is grounded in positive psychology. I believe that although we face challenges, we posses strengths. With support we can overcome emotional pain, be healed, be reconciled, and thrive. l use a variety of techniques during counseling sessions. My client centered approach includes narrative therapy, hope and family systems theory - genograms. I have over 17 years experience as a school counselor, I understand the school system. I know strategies to improve your child's grades. I will partner with you to strengthen your child's ability to deal with bullying, anxiety, and improve behavior.

I am passionate about working with clients who need support and empowerment in every aspect of their life. I want to create a safe and affirming space for my clients, and I would love to work with individuals that deeply need an accepting and supportive environment to explore and achieve their goals. I specialize in working with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and perfectionism. I enjoy working with clients who are processing life transitions, need support through academic and professional difficulties, and desire holistic mental health support. I believe that there is immense value in building a trust and respect-based therapeutic alliance.

While the journey of healing is a nebulous thing, I believe we are built to do it. We can uncover who we truly are and live out of that place with love. No matter what pain you carry, you can learn to carry it well. There are no easy answers in life and I won't try to give you them. I assist those whose anxiety takes over at the worst possible moments. Say, at work, school, the grocery store, in the car, or home alone and nothing is working to calm down or make it stop. I walk along side those whose inner critic, insecurities, and low self-esteem has taken their life from them but can't pinpoint the cause or "why". I also work with those whose emotions are so overwhelming so they act out of character, overly people-please, fear rejection, and hide their true selves away. For those "black sheeps" struggling with imposter syndrome and becoming exhausted daily keeping up with the expectations and goals of others.
