Therapy is becoming more normalized in a way that it wasn’t for your parents or grandparents. This is an opportunity to explore your own wants/needs, boundaries and personal values that drive your life daily. I focus on three main modalities of mindfulness, somatic experiencing and EMDR. I start every session with a 5-10min mindfulness meditation. Secondly, somatic experiencing is feeling your emotions through physical sensations. Lastly I am trained in EMDR which can be helpful for a range of symptoms from anxiety, depression to PTSD. I also offer psychedelic/ entheogens intention setting and/or integration therapy.

I have always been pulled towards topics that many in society do not want to talk about – sex, death, money, religion, addiction, and many others. I have seen what happens to individuals when they are left to struggle with these topics alone. Some feel guilt, fear, anxiety, depression, or just an overall sense that they are not allowed to be who they really are. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe space for individuals or those in relationship to talk about these topics and feelings. I work with them to develop the tools to grow into being confident, unashamed, and authentically themselves.

I want clients to feel comfortable and to trust the process of therapy. I will help you achieve your goals- be it for a better lifestyle, decreasing symptoms of depression and anxiety, or understanding relationships. I work with clients of all ages and issues, including neurodivergent and LGBTQIA clients. I specialize in reducing suicidal thoughts. As an adoptive mother, I also work effectively with attachment concerns for adults and children, especially those with developmental trauma, RAD, or DSED diagnoses.

I'm Amanda, providing in person and telemental health services to Colorado residents from emergent adulthood into seniority. I seek to provide a comfortable, welcoming space for clients to work through life’s challenges both large and small. Together, we’ll devote our time to cultivating growth and self-awareness while building upon existing strengths. We all have the ability to change, grow, and self-heal. Although my goal is to help clients discover and recover authentic solutions for their unique challenges; during our work together you may find that the solutions are already there, I just encourage bringing them to light!

My ideal clients are adults experiencing burnout in helping professions, or who are at a transitional time in life. You know there is more out there, but you are stuck in a routine of your own making that doesn’t match what you know is possible. My clients are most often highly intelligent, self aware, and marginalized people who have a history of trauma and have struggled with perfectionism and over-achieving their entire lives. You may people please, feel overly empathetic and drained by others’ problems and emotions, or wonder why others don’t notice the larger, systemic issues at work or in society that seem so obvious to you.

You've heard of PTSD. You think you might have it. You don't know what to do about it. Your sleep is an issue because you have nightmares. Even when you don't have nightmares, you don't feel rested in the morning. You avoid pieces and parts of your life because you fear being triggered by past trauma. When the stress increases in your life, you notice higher anxiety and scarier thoughts. You want to let go of the abuse and trauma of the past.
