I am an associate social worker and board-certified music therapist. I aim to provide therapy that is anti-racist, accessible, queer affirming, sex and body positive, kink aware, trauma informed, and accepting of all relationship styles. My current focus is providing individual teletherapy to LGBTQIA2S+ adults experiencing life transitions and wanting to heal from trauma, depression, and anxiety. My speciality is working with women and non-binary people who have experienced trauma. I use a range of modalities, including EMDR, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Talk Therapy, to help my patients see real change. My approach is engaged, relational, and embodied.

When we have an experience that is traumatic or incredibly stressful, our brains have a hard time processing that memory. This can create symptoms such as, anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions, difficult feelings, self-blame, or relationship problems, to name a few. If given the opportunity, our minds, like our bodies, have the innate ability to heal. The trouble with difficult experiences, however, is that these memories get tangled, leaving us feeling stuck or showing up in other destructive ways in our lives.

As a queer Black Arab immigrant, I recognize the importance of how social identities can have a great impact on someone's mental health.
