I take an integrated and person-centered approach in therapy, where I create an individualized plan for every client. I love to collaborate with clients, utilizing empirically supported interventions, as well as, art and narrative techniques to achieve treatment goals. I am very passionate about empowering and enhancing people’s quality of life by uncovering strengths and promoting healthy habits both mentally and physically.

Terolyn provides clients with real world tools to manage life outside of therapy. I am a trauma therapist and clinical supervisor. You do not have to live with difficult emotions. I can provide a safe and nurturing environment for you to get past your past, manage current triggers, and live your best life. I will help you navigate through all the implications of trauma including PTSD, anxiety, dissociation, depression, low self-esteem, attachment issues, guilt, hopelessness, loneliness, anger, shame, grief, career dissatisfaction, relationship issues, difficulties with boundaries, health concerns, and existential crises. I draw from a variety of modalities to meet your specific needs and goals.

The decision to choose yourself is a highly courageous one. I believe transformative growth can come at any point in life despite periods of suffering and trauma. I witness struggles being turned into opportunities for resolution, growth, and ultimately self-evolution. I am passionate about guiding clients through the process of reconnecting with their bodies and looking within for the answers they seek. I am in my 7th year of providing care and support to those living with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, PTSD, neurodivergence, life transitions, and stress.

My name is Kayla and I hope to walk along with you on this path, offering compassion, co-regulation, and some neuroscience education along the way. When we can lean into the understanding of our own neurobiology and how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors have come to be, we may also begin to explore where we may have gotten stuck and how we can have a renewed access to the wisdom and assets that our bodies possess.

When we share our stories, we can heal from trauma, connect with others, and grow as individuals. I help individuals and couples explore the themes of attachment and connection in their stories, or lack thereof, which are essential to healing and growth. I use an attachment-focused lens to help you understand how your life experiences have shaped your current relationships and sense of self, so you can feel confident in your next chapter because you know the author.

My own healing journey began at a very young age. I have had many experiences throughout my life, teaching me that healing is possible. These experiences led me to studying and learning various therapeutic techniques such as: EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Integral Somatic Psychology. These trauma focused techniques can help guide us through deep suffering and emotional pain, toward healing the mind, body and spirit. Even when your path seems darkest, there is hope and light along the way. It takes courage to face demons from the past and move forward with strength and hope toward the future.
