The foundation of this quote is the support and guidance I want to provide to each person that walks through my doors.

It is so exciting to think about going to therapy to learn more about yourself and understand who you are and why you feel the way you do, and at the same time, reaching out for help can be intimidating, uncomfortable, and overwhelming. I get it - that fear and discomfort that you may feel is common and it makes sense!

I see the counseling space as an intentional time to process life — to be heard and feel validated. I identify primarily as a person-centered counselor, maintaining a congruent and empathic approach, all while viewing clients as capable experts on themselves. I also recognize the difficult times that we currently live in and acknowledge how systems and circumstances greater than ourselves can contribute to daily distress. I also enjoy exploring life’s larger, existential questions and helping clients find their own meaning in life.

Everyone needs help sometimes. Depression, anxiety and grief are common responses to difficulties in life. These difficulties can stem from issues such as stress, trauma or serious health concerns but there is hope!

I create a welcoming and inclusive environment so clients can feel safe to explore their complicated emotional needs. I work with individuals and couples to process their anxiety, depression, and feelings of self worth. I believe every individual is capable of the change they desire. My goal is to provide the nonjudgmental and understanding environment that serves as the catalyst for clients to meet their personal goals. I use evidence- and brain-based techniques to support the social and emotional growth of my clients.

I began my career in residential treatment working with adolescents and adults suffering with a combination of addiction and mental health disorders. I work from an Adlerian perspective with a systems integration. I also often incorporate DBT skills in sessions. I enjoy working with adults and adolescents and work with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm behaviors, relationship issues, addiction, codependence, low self-esteem, and those struggling with life transitions.

I am passionate about helping anxious people find their chill! The majority of my work focuses on treating patients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem and body image issues, and life stressors.

I feel fortunate to have the experiences that I have had in working with a diverse group of individuals with various stories. I am able to build rapport quickly, making the client feel comfortable, and can assist in guiding the client in meeting their goals. I bring a unique experience as I look at the whole person to explore what all is, or has impacted them. We don't focus on disease management but strive to focus on overall wellness-mind, body, and soul. I provide a nonjudgmental, healing relationship with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, as well as those who have been abused as a child or adult. I help clients process repeating negative memories and self-judgment to achieve a positive sense of self, self-esteem, and confidence. By accepting who we are and what has happened to us, we can learn to be assertive for self and in relationships.

I focus on adolescents, adults and couples work. I have specialized training in trauma focused care which incorporates EMDR and TF-CBT treatments. I also provide gender affirming care, working closely with the LGBTQ+ population, attachment based work, and have specialized training in treating depression and suicidal ideation/self-harm. I have a special passion for working with intersectional identities and medical trauma. I am here to guide the client while also honoring their stories and experiences to help them manage life stressors, relationships and traumatic experiences.

Although I have specialized in the full spectrum of eating disorders for over 30 years, my passion is working with emotional eating/BED and weight-loss coaching. I have developed a program called "the glow approach" which will help you develop a healthy relationship with food, which means 1) putting food back in its place as nourishment for your body and learning which foods "work for you" for health and weight-loss; and 2) identifying what role(s) food plays in your life: a coping mechanism to manage feelings, avoid issues, fill a void, and/or self-medicate underlying mental-health conditions such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD.

I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with self-identity, sexual and gender identity, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment in which clients can process these struggles and find healing through a way that fits them best. Healing looks different for everyone depending on what their goals and aspirations are in life. My goal is to help each client create a life they love and is worth living.

I am a licensed mental health and substance abuse therapist with over 16 years of professional experience, specializing in trauma recovery therapy and couple's therapy. I am committed to provide healing and restoration for those experiencing personal, relational, and psychological issues as the result of traumatic experience. The modalities I am trained on will help you to release the stored pain and free yourself to be a person you are meant to be.

I have two decades of experience assisting others overcome their challenges and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
