Emotions can be difficult to regulate and counseling can help. I offer DBT skills training as part of my work because I have seen it positively impact countless people. Learning and practicing skills related to: Mindfulness, Distress tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Emotional Regulation can change your life.
I begin every treatment plan with a Mindfulness approach because if I cannot engage you in the present moment it is difficult to move forward. Depending on your specific concern we will structure our time together utilizing/teaching CBT, DBT and trauma-informed, Solution Focused therapy.
I enjoy helping people to be empowered to change things in their life that are making them feel stuck by tuning in, actively listening, validating and then teaching approaches that have been proven to work (both in theory and in practice).
