At times, men seek a person who will listen. I believe men want to discuss their responsibilities, their emotions and their relationships. Men of all ages handle these elements in a variety of ways. Not knowing where to turn for help is an uncomfortable feeling. That is the role Pearland Place. I designed Pearland Place to be a counseling office designed for these men. I enjoy helping men understanding experiencing anxiety, depression moving to retirement. I believe men are vital for a functionaling society. My goal is to create an environment that allows men to learn about themselves and to get in touch with their emotions.
The treatment plan for my clients is an integrative approach of counseling. I frequently use Behavioral Therapy combined with Cognitive Therapy. This technique allows the client to examine their choices in an understading and constructive manner. The goal is for the client to use the techniques they learned to make decisions that are emotionally satisfying.
It is truly rewarding to work with men and young gentlemen as a Licensed Professional Counselor. The opportunity to be able to provide a place for men to meet as an individual or as a group to discuss their thoughts and ideas on life is a tremendous responsibility that I relish.
