I kept my office open during the COVID Crisis but when it ended people did not want to come to an office. I simi-retired & work through Zoom. I have lowered my fee to reflect the benefit of working online. While it is not my preferred way of working with clients, it allows me to continue to work. I left Saddleback Church where I was the Pastor of Pastoral Care for 17+years. I've been a licensed marriage & family counselor for 35+ years. I respect the fact that everyone needs to make a personal decision about their faith but I do approach therapy using Christian perspectives & values.
I was with the 82nd Airborne Division & Drill Instructor--later becoming a pastor/counselor. From my time in the military I learned that unaddressed little things can destroy a relationship. I help individuals and couples learn how to communicate. Then the fair communication skills are applied resolving problems and conflicts.
If resolving problems were the only reason people struggled in a relationship then one rule book for problem solving would be all that is needed. I believe every relationship can be one that make friends and family envious. It takes commitment and effort to have a relationship where one looks forward to getting home each evening. It takes purposed actions!
