Psychology is a science and an art. I see therapy through the same lens. As specific as the brain can be there also has to be some flexibility to really understand how someone thinks. I worked in psychology research for 10 years and have been a therapist for 7 years. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Qualified Supervisor, and will be finishing my PhD in 2023. Most of my research and focus in therapy is centered around women’s issues and the ups and downs that can come with being a female.

Sometimes taking care of ourselves is the hardest thing because our lives don't have therapy built in our day. We become masters at believing we are dealing with our struggles, depression, anxiety, yet we never seem to get to a point where we are actually making a change. We see what we are doing isn't working yet we continue to do the same. I work with adults facing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, mania, adjustment related issues, relationship issues, divorce and grief/loss. I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals find healthy solutions.

I am an interactive, cognitive behavioral client-centered therapist who focuses on the development of healthy relationships that have been impacted by trauma, grief and loss, infidelity, life transitions, depression, domestic and substance abuse. I am a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Therapist dedicated to providing exceptional care within a holistic framework. I have 30 years of professional counseling experience and have implemented effective treatment for adolescents and adults enduring a variety of mental health and/or substance use disorders. As a Counselor in the healing profession, my emphasis is on furthering your Wellness and Growth. At Eagle Eye Counseling the focus is on a Keeness for Excellence through Healing, Stability and Empowerment. I am also certified as a Master Addictions Counselor and provide Clinical Supervision for both Mental Health Counselors and Addiction Counselors who are seeking licensure.

My passion is working with clients age 13-18 as well as young & early adults. I love to work to empower clients, build insight, heal relationships & provide practical tools for clients to use as they develop into young adulthood. I use family therapy for family system work. My other client focus is on victims of sexual exploitation including victims of Human Trafficking & sexual abuse. I incorporate the dynamics of race & ethnicity into my practice and like to work with people from these marginalized populations & addressing how these factors impact treatment and resilience. My ideal client is motivated and committed to treatment.
