I have been working in the field for 25+ years in various capacities from IDD/Autism, clinics, in and out patient, LGBTQ, Correctional Facility Drug Program, men and adolescent re-entry, brushing with some gang activity. Whats was common was: NO PLAN; there should to be a plan. People have to be honest with themself. When being assessed be honest; fabricating the truth; the cycle continues; being honest; the healing begins. It's not easy, but necessary. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist who has been in practice for over fifteen years. I have experience as a special education teacher and public-school administrator. I have a wealth of experience providing progressive therapeutic strategies and interventions to change personal and/or family situations, solve problems, and/or simply bring a healthier balance to individuals’ lives. Being a single parent and working mom, I understand, firsthand, the joys and struggles of living in this society and parenting children today.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. I have experience in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and couples. My expertise in counseling active duty service members to include special forces soldiers and their families along with veterans have given me the confidence in addressing your specific mental health needs. My treatment approaches are eclectic as everyone has different needs. My approach includes CBT, DBT, trauma-focused, family systems, solution focused, client-centered as well as other evidenced based therapeutic practices.

I currently provide telemental health services, such as telephone and video counseling, to youth and adults (12 years and older) regarding issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, sexuality, life transitions, school issues, gender, relationships, family, work, and substance abuse. I predominately treat youth and adults within the LGBTQ+ community as they navigate intersectionality, life transitions, and identity development. I am now offering adolescent DBT individual and group therapy along with a DBT family support course.
