I'm Scarlett; I am the owner and therapist at Grounded Guidance Counseling, PLLC, where I provide outpatient therapy services to individuals and couples. I strive to meet my clients exactly where they are emotionally in a professional but relatable manner, as I desire to break down barriers that could make therapy feel intimidating for anyone involved.

I specialize in working with teens, adults, and families seeking to improve relationships (with themselves and others), family dynamics, emotional well-being, anger/stress management, parenting, and anxiety/depression. My counseling approach incorporates techniques that emphasize healthy communication, trust-building, and the teaching of effective coping skills.

I am a psychotherapist for adult individuals and couples. Do you want stronger, clearer and healthier relationships? My clients consist mainly of open minded, artistic and unconventional persons wanting more intimacy and connection or wanting to explore their innate gifts and talents. I also work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and non-binary persons. However, I love working with anyone who is seeking growth, wholeness and perspective.

I love working with both adults and adolescents 13 years and up, especially folks who identify as BIPOC, queer, and trans, and individuals in non-traditional, non-monogamous relationship structures. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, gender celebratory, poly affirming, kink and BDSM affirming, and sex-work positive. My specialities are trauma work, depression, anxiety, and supporting folks who are moving through difficult transition, who are exploring their gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation, or who would like to get clarity on their life path.

As a clinical social worker, I am passionate about aiding clients in the healing and empowerment process. Whether it is difficulties with life's transitions or ongoing issues related to mood disorders, I take a holistic, intersectional approach with all of my clients in order to find the intervention(s) that best suit their individual needs and strengths. In particular, I focus on being an accepting and affirming environment for LGBTQi+ individuals. In general, my ultimate goal in treatment is to provide anyone and everyone a safe, stable environment where healing can occur.

Adria meets their clients where they are at in their healing process, empowering them to navigate or overcome uncomfortable emotions, harmful behaviors, and intrusive thoughts. Adria recognizes that during crisis situations, harmful or self-destructive behaviors can seem necessary for survival. This is why they strive to help their clients implement new resources and coping skills that allow clients to not only survive, but thrive while learning to love themselves entirely. Adria is motivated to provide a space that is free of judgment so that clients can feel safe, validated, and supported in discussing anything and everything.

As a licensed marriage and family therapy associate, I work with individuals, couples, and families navigate various life changes that can occur (whether expected or unexpected). Welcome. I am a person centered, LGBTQ+ clinical mental health counselor and addictions specialist. I use an eclectic and uniquely adaptable approach for a range of ages, developmental-transitional stages towards positive shifts in attitude, behavior, and mood for the wellbeing of clients. I have advanced training using expressive arts therapy, trauma-informed care, infused with nature, and sports psychotherapy interventions. I work collaboratively with people to rebuild trust in themselves and the world. I work with local resources and help identify self strategies for increased positive life experiences.

They happen on their own when our bodies feel safe and supported enough to release painful past experiences that keep us stuck in distressing patterns. We feel unable to relax and are busy and burnt out. Being truly seen and loved and feeling belonging are deep desires for us, but seem unfulfillable. Instead, we resort to self improvement. Expressing our boundaries, feelings, and needs with others isn't easy. We often feel anxious, sad, shameful, numb, or alone. Triggers or physical symptoms intrude in our lives regularly. Our bodies don't feel at home.
