I have worked as a therapist for 23 years in various settings and have been licensed since 2006. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor/Supervisor, I have provided family, couple and individual counseling for adults. I am EMDR trained. I address parenting skills, marital issues, trauma, mood disorders, behavior disorders, thought disorders, career concerns, and spiritual concerns. As a professional Christian counselor, I believe that the Lord has the power to heal marriages, families, and individuals using Jesus as our example of how to live life and find perfect peace.

As a potential client, know that your courage to face personal vulnerabilities and uncertainties is acknowledged from the start. To realize and understand the efforts you've made already affords us early opportunities to consider possibilities in therapy. Your desired outcome is the goal. The process of sharing, reflecting, and adjusting any internal and relational patterns is our therapy means to this end. The clinical approaches perhaps most reflective in therapy are cognitive-behavioral, inter-personal and family systems, and acceptance/commitment. Interventions are based on your child/family, couple, and individual needs.

As a seasoned professional in the addiction treatment field, my 20 years of clinical experience covers a wide variety of issues that face individuals and their families. In collaboration with my clients, I provide an individually customized success plan. We face the issues of this life in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere where healing happens, hope is restored, and growth becomes the inevitable outcome.

My goal is to offer you compassion, acceptance and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create an environment that is safe and non-judgmental in order to build a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe this is key for successful therapy. I use a blend of interventions to help you identify your personal strengths, gain insight and awareness of thoughts and emotions, and heal from previous life experiences. Collaboratively, we will work toward setting goals and identifying realistic solutions to support positive change in your life.

My goal is to help you create a family where both parents and children can grow to meet their full potential, becoming the persons they were meant to be. I do this through individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as family therapy and parenting education and coaching. I use a whole family approach when possible, with a warm, non-threatening style.

From my experiences as a veteran, wife, daughter, mother, and a licensed marriage & family therapist, I have a great appreciation for the healing that can occur when life's difficulties are confronted and understood in the context of relationships. I utilize a variety of interventions in order to provide the best quality of treatment for each client.

I am trauma focused and work with people suffering from PTSD, trauma, (especially veterans and first responders). depression, anxiety, grief, transition, military issues, separation or divorce and substance use disorders/recovery. During our initial sessions, we will form a therapeutic partnership and delve deeply into the issues at hand and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a significant lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter. My philosophy of counseling is built on unconditional positive regard.
