I am a licensed mental health counselor and the owner of Kristen Sullivan and Associates Inc. I have a great deal of experience working with substance abuse issues. Clients and I work together to get to the root of the problem, and uncover the reasons behind their substance abuse. Once these past issues are conquered, they can start on the fresh path to living a sober and fulfilling life.

Katie Twomey has been working at Paramount Recovery Centers since May 2022 as a Primary Therapist. Katie has worked in the mental health and addiction field since 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UMass Boston in 2014 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Communication Studies. She is also currently enrolled in the MSW program at Regis College, and her anticipated graduation date is December 2022.

Joanie Barclay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who brings a diversity of professional acumen from over 25 years working with adults, military families, veterans to build light, peace, and hope within their lives. Her person-centered and strengths-based approaches to healing and wellness are enhanced with her ministerial background. Joanie earned two Master's degrees in Clinical Social Work and Pastoral Ministry from Boston College, along with a post-graduate certification in Spiritual Direction.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and include elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Art Therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psychosocial intervention that is the most widely used evidence-based practice for improving mental health. Guided by empirical research, CBT focuses on the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems and changing unhelpful patterns in cognitions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes), behaviors, and emotional regulation.

I am a psychotherapist with 25 years of experience. I work with men, women and adolescents with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship struggles. My main focus is to help you reach your own personal goals. My style is interactive, warm and direct. I believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount to successful treatment. I pride myself on creating a safe environment by being authentic, discerning, supportive and compassionate in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. I am a Registered Play Therapist. I utilize an eclectic combination of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Meditation, Hypnosis, EMDR, Play and/or art. My theoretical belief is aligned with Adlerian concepts believing that the client has skills and abilities that can help them to overcome whatever may be challenging them. Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Social Skills, ASD (high functioning), PTSD, ADHD, Conduct Disorders are some of the diagnoses with which I have helped clients.

I have experience applying concepts from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, as well as incorporating creativity and play to process and explore the self. I hope to help all clients enhance their self-awareness and ability to communicate and feel empowered to create positive change in their lives and relationships.

I work with children, adolescents and their families. These families are varied and come in all the different ways families are made. I offer a lot of practical experience with problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution. Home work is often a part of my client session to be completed in between visits.
