I specialize in working with people on boundaries, goal-setting, assertiveness, communication skills, changing thoughts and behaviors. I have more than twenty five years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in individual, marital, family, and groups in the field of counseling health services. My experience includes consulting in inpatient psychiatric and hospitals, medical/surgical hospitals, nursing homes, pain management clinics, and private practice. I also specialize in career testing and counseling for high school students, college students, and in career transition for adults. I have served as a psychologist and director of a Christian counseling center for eight years and as a psychologist and manager for the employee assistance program for Methodist Hospitals of Dallas.

As a mental health provider in Austin, TX, I help pet owners live with and travel with their pet by identifying their pet as an Emotional Support Animal or Service Dog. I provide letters, complete forms, education, support, and I take any extra steps for each situation. I help many people in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Fort Worth areas, plus anywhere in between.

I graduated from UTSA in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Philosophy and again in 2015 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I worked in higher education, counseling college students for nine years. While I have a passion for helping young adults navigate their mental health, I equally enjoy working with teens, couples and families. I draw from various therapeutic styles, including CBT and Relational-Cultural Theory. I enjoy taking a person-centered approach to journey alongside my clients throughout the therapeutic process.
