I believe the most important factor in counseling success is the relationship between therapist and client. I want my clients to feel safe, comforted, and challenged in our work. I believe laughter is a precious tool in healing and feel each client should be met where they are at. You will often find me in my office sipping coffee with my adult clients, sculpting pieces of art with adolescents, or playing in the floor with children.
I choose to focus my specialized training towards issues of self esteem, body image, eating disorders, and trauma. I have worked in counseling agencies, in a hospital setting, and in a school system. I am impassioned to use my private practice to walk alongside people in their personal journey to find healing and peace.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy based primarily on the client(s) I am helping succeed. I feel at home using art and creative modalities while focusing on mind and body centeredness. I see growth when clients pair wise perspective about their circumstance with graceful acceptance of who they are at their best.
