For many people life can go through periods of intense difficulty, pain and suffering, and it can feel overwhelming. My practice focuses on understanding these feelings with the hope of decreasing the distress. I work collaboratively with my clients believing they contain all the wisdom they need to heal and that together we will help you access it. I work and am trained in several models; psychodynamic, internal family systems, attachment theory and emotionally focused therapy.
I have spent the past 10 years working with people suffering from panic disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, and life changes. I also work with parents helping them recognize their own triggers in their relationship with their child, and provide valuable information about child development and neurobiological development.
I have also trained in mindfulness based stress reduction, so at times I combine the deep listening and interpretation of dynamic theory with mindfulness tools to help you better understand your own patterns and how they are impacting your life today. Together, I want us to understand your triggers, wounds and how they might be harming you now.
