I believe in a flexible and pragmatic approach to change that focuses on each client's needs. My technique balances insight, active collaboration and positive exploration. I help clients to create practices that affect real change in the present. I see life's difficulties as challenges that further growth and depth. I've trained and worked in a number of contexts and with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma, and relationship challenges and growth. I also work with issues of creating a substantive, meaningful life within the distractions of modernity.
I use a range of therapeutic tools to help you find your way out of the confusion of repeated patterns. My practice integrates techniques including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, neuroscience and evolutionary psychology as well as techniques to create receptive states in which change is more available including guided imagery, somatic psychology, music and sound.
While we may look into your past to see what filters, reactions and habits you bring into the present, I always turn such discussion toward ways of practically influencing your current experience. I give homework, if you are up for it. We'll explore together and we will probably even have a good time!
