I provide a sacred space for clients who are searching for their authentic selves in the midst of daily distractions, pressures from family members, work issues, health concerns, etc. Psychotherapy is a form of spirituality in which a client discovers their pathway to spiritual growth. In this therapeutic process one can be healed of the debilitating symptoms that indicate one is out of balance. I help clients find their unique selves and center and explore the beliefs and values that ground them as a person. I provide them with direction and support to maintain continued growth.
My specialty is a form of pastoral care. Often, spirituality is not addressed directly. It is more often implicit in the manner in which a client is received. I do not provide answers for them; I helped them find their answers for themselves. Being present. understanding, affirming, caring, empowering are the qualities I provide.
In my approach to psychotherapy I rely upon my own intuitive, tacit knowing, in a non judgmental way. I accept clients where they are and move according to their pace of development. Building rapport is the first basic element in therapy. I trust myself and the client to create a transforming experience.
