If your goals include relief from depression, anxiety, symptoms of mental illness, improving relationships, getting along better in the world, and improved quality of life, I want to work with you to achieve those goals. I enjoy working with adults with mental and emotional stressors, who are striving to stay happy, independent and self-sufficient. In addition, I work with adults with multiple diagnoses, who are struggling with substance use issues, and other harmful behaviors, to cope with underlying feelings from mood disorders, mental illness, and traumatic life experiences. Together we can find healthier ways to manage.
I offer each client a loving and respectful acceptance of where they are at now, then together we assess what changes are desired. I often include aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Spirituality, and Narrative therapy, to find the most effective way to facilitate change.
I have a B.S. from Eastern Michigan, and an MSW from the University of Michigan. I love to work with those who are ready for a positive shift in their thinking, behavior, and emotional understanding. I am committed to helping identify areas that are problematic and to utilize your strengths to achieve self-efficacy, satisfaction, and happiness in your life.
