Welcome! My name is Morgan Overstreet. I am a licensed counselor that's been in private practice for 7 years. At my practice I offer both life coaching and therapy services! I've been supporting people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and stress due to life transitions, identity, parenting and/or relationship concerns. The human experience is complicated - I see myself as someone who is here to help others get to a healthier place with themselves, so that they can feel empowered and resilient in this world.
I like to think that I take a modern approach to wellness - I'm a human too. I have found that it works best if our sessions flow like a conversation, with me integrating therapy approaches and tools to help my clients alleviate the symptoms that they're dealing with. I aim to balance the tough conversations with getting to know my clients as a whole person!
I typically start a session by asking, "What's on your mind or heart?" and I end a session by summarizing what we discussed. It is my hope that my clients always look forward to sessions because they know that they're not only going to be heard and validated, but that they'll also have some key takeaways going into the next week.
