Do you want a more supportive holistic approach into your mental health struggles? We used to think that mental disorders were not physical disorders. Mind you, this was long ago but the stigma still remains. Some still believe that our symptoms are purely a biochemical imbalance. My belief is focusing on a multidimensional approach exploring all aspects of our current life from our physical and emotional health to our social, spiritual, intellectual, vocational connections and living environment. My hope is to help others reach their full potential by exploring their past traumas, abusive relationships, and grief/loss.
Most of my expertise lies in working with individuals whom struggle with depression, anxiety. grief/loss, mood and adjustment disorders, as well as trauma/PTSD. I have a person centered, holistic, and strengths based approach to my care in attempt to meet all the different and complex needs of my patients. I am trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and EMDR.
Relationships are a powerful part of who we are. They can help make us feel like we belong, like we have something to contribute to this world. Therapeutic relationships especially can help strengthen us. I strive to interact respectfully and knowledgeably to all but most importantly with people whose culture and worldview is so far removed from my own.
