As a South Asian Muslim woman, I am familiar with the concerns in our community about seeking therapy. Many of us hesitate because we fear the people we open up to may not understand the religious or cultural values we live our lives by. Many of us find ourselves struggling with family dynamics and multigenerational trauma.
I have experience working with a diverse population, focusing on issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, grief and loss, family conflicts, and stress management. I am also focused on helping clients with multicultural identity issues, intergenerational trauma, and body image issues.
