Unspoken hurt finds insidious ways of impacting our daily lives and expresses itself in symptoms. Psychotherapy is a relational process where we can unpack these symptoms to clarify your struggles in living, while we identify a path forward that feels satisfactory. When it comes to circumstances that are beyond control, grief and acceptance might be at the forefront of our discussions. As your therapist, my goal will be to create a safe and understanding relationship with you where we will cherish curiosity to find new ways of being in the world, with more compassion for yourself and others, increased ease and clarity.

I am a psychoanalyst and licensed mental health counselor in private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts with more than 15 years experience in the field. Throughout my training and career, I have worked with adults in outpatient psychotherapy clinics as well as with children and adolescents and their families in the Public School Systems.

Nuliyar Dursun is a doctoral level clinical intern who has been providing clinical services for over 5 years. In her career, she held various positions including her work as a chemical dependency counselor, applied behavioral analysis therapist, service coordinator, and social worker. She provided individual and group therapy as well as neuropsychological testing for clients in the 16 to 80 years-old age range. In her clinical work, Nuliyar uses clinically tested and evidence-based approaches from various modalities including psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Loss, failure, and separation are major root causes of many forms of suffering in life. But they are not always evident, we may be too young when live through them, or we may not feel their impact until long after an event. Sometimes they even travel through generations. As a psychotherapist, I have spent over 25 years helping people who suffered from a variety of emotional and relational problems created by one or a combination of these issues, ranging from basic unhappiness to unhealthy relationships, workplace conflicts, divorce and separations, parents struggling with their children, migration and forced separation, even trauma.

I gained extensive clinical and teaching experiences while helping multicultural families and international college/grad students in the area. Accepting new clients! We all go through phases in life. Some days are sunny and some others with a lot of rain and storm. Anxiety, depression,life transitions,pre-postpartum anxiety&depression, difficulty focusing, and relationship problems with loved ones and/or in a professional setting are only a few of the problems every person deals in their life at some point. Even though they are part of our nature, these symptoms could be very overwhelming.

The world is a challenging and complex place to live. It Is also full of opportunities, exiting relationships and so much to see and explore. I am part of it. I call it "the mess." By this, I mean it is a good mess. No place and no one is perfect. Continuously working on things we want without ever giving up is empowering and a freeing feeling. I take care of myself by connecting my body and mind in sink. I look forward helping my clients to improve their lives in a positive way for long term.

Day time opening for a new client - I provide treatment to individuals who suffer from depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, perfectionism, stress management, loss/grief, transitions between stages of life, and relational problems. My primary goal is to provide assistance and guidance to parents facing any concerns or conflicts related to parenting, with a strong emphasis on promoting the mental well-being of both the child and the entire family. I specialize in offering prenatal and newborn consultations, aiming to establish and nurture caregiver-child relationships from the very beginning, with a focus on prevention. I have extensive experience working with families who have encountered postpartum depression, anxiety, and premature birth, as well as children who face regulation challenges during early childhood and beyond.
