I am trained in Brainspotting and find it a great tool for deep work.
Life provides each of us with many opportunities to grow and heal, often cleverly disguised as adversity. If your experiences have you feeling stuck or if you feel like you're not living as your authentic self then life is inviting you to change. We each have an innate ability to heal ourselves and I am honored to guide people on the path to rediscovering who they were meant to be.

I utilize evidence-based, mind-body-energy techniques like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Brainspotting to help you process and release traumatic experiences, reducing the emotional and physiological impact on your daily life and leading you on the path of healing and transformation.
Are you stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed? Are you dealing with chronic issues? Are you ready to make a change and feel better? Are you interested in learning practical tools to transform stress/trauma, reduce anxiety, and find more peace and calm? I take a holistic and integrative approach to helping my clients. I believe that talk therapy alone is not enough. I teach simple mind-body-energy techniques to help my clients feel more grounded, present, and calm. I also offer brainspotting therapy.
Many come to therapy knowing only that they are struggling to get things done, their relationships have become a source of stress rather than comfort, or they need help processing trauma, loss, or other painful experiences impacting their daily lives. Whatever your circumstances, I strive to help each person or family I work with achieve greater emotional, psychological, and social well-being, while also alleviating symptoms. I use the power of storytelling and understand that each person I work with has many, important stories to tell. I also value and work with each person's nervous system in the healing process.

Utilizing EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT and mindfulness practices, I work with those struggling with racial, multicultural, and gender identity concerns, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/image, and emotional distress.
Just about everything in life ebbs and flows which at times can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and defeated. It is important to remember that although life may feel heavy at this moment, it does get better and you don’t have to feel ashamed of your emotions. You are entitled to recognize and accept the individual that you are right now, while also feeling inspired and motivated by the individual you envision yourself to be in the future.

EMDR and Brainspotting are effective techniques to help you experience the transformative results you want, faster than traditional talk therapy alone.
Are you dealing with anxiety, sadness, shame, grief, trauma or stuff you really want to let go of in your life? Or perhaps you are feeling a sense of not being good enough, struggling with confidence and self-criticism? Pain may show up as feeling numb or angry, withdrawing from school or work, family and friends. Hiding the stress doesn't help you feel better. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental, focused on helping you deal with pain from the past and deal with present challenges with greater ease and confidence. If you'd like to feel better about yourself and your life, I can help you get there.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
