I originally began Blending Families in 2002, to address the unique issues that step families (as well as foster and adoptive families), deal with on a daily basis, (torn loyalties, parallel parenting, ex spouses, raising step kids, etc...). I am committed to helping people help themselves, figure out what the issues are and solving the problems. I also have extensive experience working with parents of difficult teens, marital education and family dynamics. Clients tend to feel overwhelmed with the struggles they juggle every day. Most want someone who won't judge, who will listen, care and will help them figure out what to do.
As a clinician with over 39 years of experience, I see and approach every client individually. I use a variety of methods to help my clients succeed in making the changes needed to reach their goals. I have an attitude of unconditional positive regard and provide 'common sense' feedback, with honesty and compassion.
