I am a firm believer that YOU truly are the expert on YOU. My approach to therapy is simple; provide an environment that is safe for YOU to begin exploring problems in your life that you feel influence your ability to find genuine happiness on a day-to-day basis. Our journey focuses on not assuming that the answers are going to be readily available, but appreciating the questions that surface during every session so that in time you can live your way into finding your genuine self. It is through this process that I believe authentic happiness is found!
Having worked in the field of psychology for 20 years, I have experience working with an array of mental health conditions including: attachment, adjustment, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. My approach is rooted in existentialism (appreciating the here and now) and I am trained in a variety of other therapeutic models including EMDR and DBT.
I am also trained in Collabortive Problem Solving (CPS)approach which I have found to be remarkably effective in teaching parents and their children to "co exisit" more harmoniously .
