If you feel uptight, rehearsed, disconnected, rigid, numbed, or think too fast to feel, traditional therapy may have left you still stuck. Sometimes it’s not about calming down or figuring it out, but about feeling, expressing, exploring, and connecting. My work focuses on disordered eating, eating disorders, intellectual giftedness, and temperamental overcontrol. Protective patterns are hard to loosen, even when they feel shameful, limiting, or frustrating. Healing doesn’t happen by shutting down or trying harder. I use evidence-based therapies creatively to help you know yourself, live your values, and make peace with your pieces.
Being a human is hard. The heart, mind, and body often struggle to coexist and can seem to have competing needs. My passion as a therapist is helping clients make lasting, dynamic peace within themselves. With a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, Gestalt, and RO-DBT, I help clients move toward realness, wholeness, and flexibility.
Making changes in how you show up for your mental health, exploring limiting beliefs, and learning new ways to cope are big steps. You don't need all the answers, and you don't have to do it alone. That's what therapy is for and you're welcome as you are. Uncertain, guarded, scared, curious, or excited…however you're arriving, I'm honored to work with you.
