Growing up in a small, midwestern town, I came to realize that we don't get nearly enough information on how to properly engage with one another in our relationships in healthy and fulfilling ways. As a queer and trans person, the lack of information was exponentially worse. As a therapist, I want to be there for people who recognize this and want to have better relationships with others and with themselves. I also want to be there especially for my fellow queer and transgender people given how lonely I felt thinking that there were no therapists like me. While I didn't get that, I want to BE that for others.

My goal is to create a therapeutic space for clients that is non-judgmental, safe, collaborative, and welcoming. I am passionate about hearing client's stories and supporting them in their growth. I have a feminist, trauma-informed, and gender-affirming lens with individuals, couples, and families. I am under the supervision of Gia Hepfler, PhD, LMFT

I enjoy working with people to create a nonjudgmental space that is tailored to their needs and goals. My view is that we are connected internally and externally in a web of different systems that impact us, and through understanding how these systems and the client are affecting one another do we get a comprehensive view of what’s going on. When appropriate and agreed upon, I will work with people in these different systems (e.g., family, loved ones, teachers, primary care providers, social workers, parole officers, etc.) to help provide continuity of care and a cohesive treatment plan.

I am not accepting new clients until June as new openings are limited. No evening hours open. I've been helping clients find their way through these feelings for the last 11 years. I can help clients learn about and use effective coping skills in order to gain a better understanding of themselves and work on becoming happy, healthy, and strong individuals. Sometimes people are just looking for someone to talk to and I am hear to listen, guide, and help you achieve your best life. I work with everyone to come up with a treatment plan that best suits their individual needs. Let's set up a plan together that we can work through.

Besides 1:1 sessions, I also offer Sacred Circles Women's Group. This cozy closed group is offered (3) times a year.

An ideal client is one who is being just who they are in spite of all the challenges or concerns they may be dealing with. I also have weekend and some evening hours.

I am a compassionate, caring, qualified therapist. Rather than just treating symptoms, I help clients get to the root cause of the problem. Then we work together to change habitual ways of thinking, feeling and behaving into more positive, healthful, life affirming patterns. I am a Clinically trained Hypnotherapist and Hypnoanalyst and psychotherapist. I use this process because I am amazed at how good results are for clients. I love to see clients succeed and hypnosis makes change more effective and faster. I am currently getting a doctorate because I am committed to the most effective treatment possible.

I work with clients to create a custom plan that addresses a variety of issues from the stresses of everyday life to managing specific incidents. I believe in a client-led approach and that you have the knowledge for your success. I like to work collaboratively with each client and family to utilize their unique strengths to foster that success. My goal during therapy is for clients to recognize their barriers through a different perspective so they feel they have the ability to make meaningful changes.
