I take a holistic approach to counseling, with an emphasis on mind, body and spirit in relationship to self and others. I specialize in trauma informed practices utilizing modalities such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and family systems therapy.I am a Children's Mental Health Therapist and a Minority Mental Health Therapist with experience working with Native American, Hispanic and African American and LGBTQ populations.

I am primarily an Art Therapist. I love making and processing art with clients from all walks of life. Oftentimes we're carrying pain that isn't ours to carry, or pain that we feel protects us. The art allows us to converse with parts of ourselves we have tucked away in order to protect ourselves. Adult clients who come in, ready to look at themselves and heal pain that has plagued them are a joy to walk alongside in their journey. I am also experienced and greatly enjoy working with children and teenagers who are nursing hurt that needs to be expressed. Kids and teens who have experienced grief and trauma can find safety in art.

My clients often begin therapy due to anxious and/or depressive symptoms emerging from more complex concerns that challenge their pursuits of meaningful living. They may have difficulties managing stress related to their relationships, work or study, and/or identity. Some struggle with the loss of someone or something important to them. Others may feel rudderless, uncertain about how to steer their life in a more fulfilling direction. In all cases I aim to provide a warm, nonjudgmental, and authentic relationship that encourages growth through the exploration of each client's sense of who they are and who they want to become.

Navigating the emotional and psychological landscape of pregnancy and postpartum is not meant to be done in isolation. I specialize in supporting birthing folks through the transition of pregnancy and postpartum, as well as the journey into parenthood. Additionally, I work with those motivated to explore identity (within and outside of pregnancy and parenthood) and assist clients in building clarity in this potent area of their lives. Along with therapy services I also provide clinical supervision to therapists working towards full licensure.
