Hey there! My name is Gary McCrory and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) committed to helping you rediscover your light. This means I am trained in systemic therapy, which takes into consideration multiple areas of your life to better assist you in reaching your preferred future and your best self.

Life is all about actions and reactions. Often we do not realize how our actions, or lack thereof, affect our situational outcomes. My name is Michelle Roberson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, who aims to walk this path with you and explore your many possibilities. Sometimes we search to define who we are and where we fit on this journey called life. There are many roads to take and for the last five years, I've enjoyed working with a variety of individuals and families, focused on identifying the right road, learning healthy techniques, and practical ways to cope with life challenges.

Life is hard on its own, not to mention having to navigate work, school, friendships and other relationships, and a family. It can be overwhelming and spark fear, anxiety, depression, and conflict in everyone. Therapy can be a place where you recognize and confront those feelings and thoughts while also striving to be the person you want to be.

I was born and raised in Texas. I love the Texas Summer nights and Autumn days. I grew up in a blended family of my mother, grandparents, biological brother, and many foster brothers and sisters. Let's just say things were always interesting, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Those experiences helped shape who I am and gave me insight into a variety of people.

We are a black owned, women and veteran led practice that offers marriage counseling and sex therapy for adults and teens experiencing hardships in their family and/or relationships. We utilize Brainspotting to assist in processing trauma.

The treatment modality I focus on using a person centered approach, CBT, Solution Focused. Together we will talk about what your facing and I will assist you in reaching your goals. My goal as your therapist is to create a safe place where your comfortable so, that we can collaboratively resolve the core issues that are holding you back from reaching your goals.

I work under the motto, "The sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while its here is up to us..." I fully believe in journeying with my clients through treatment. I truly enjoy working with my clients on the variety of life's ups and downs. Generally, most of my work is with adults; however, I also see adolescents beginning at 16-years-old. Over the years, I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma, and some of the more severe mental health problems. My other experience includes working with self-harm and suicidal behaviors, as well as behavior management.

Sometimes, our situations may leave us feeling stuck, lost, and not in control of our lives. Other times, we may be at a standstill in our relationships, feeling unheard and uncertain of how to move forward. These moments deceive us into believing we are incapable and incomplete. I am passionate about exploring the harmful beliefs we have about ourselves and our circumstances. I embrace the inevitability of conflict in relationships and believe there is always a means to resolution. My desire is that you leave therapy with a perspective that is empowering and uplifting.
