Therapy is an intensely personal process which can be both exquisitely liberating and excruciatingly difficult. To honor this, I focus on developing a strong relationship with you characterized by compassion and a suspension of judgments. No topic is off-limits in my office; nothing is "unspeakable" or "unthinkable." What I ask of my clients is to be honest and searching. I will never coerce you into divulging something before you are ready, but I may encourage you to examine the deeper meanings behind interactions that have been troubling you. Together we will uncover truths and sort through whatever may rise up.

Travis attained their Associate of Arts from Collin College, followed by their B.S. in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. Currently, they are working to complete their M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Walden University. While in graduate school Travis has worked at Eating Recovery Center in Plano, TX and gained direct experience with patient care, building therapeutic spaces and relationships, and conducting group therapy sessions using various approaches including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

There are so many situations where people do not feel heard or understood, which is why it is my first goal in therapy to establish a safe and collaborative environment with all of my clients, regardless of age or concern. I am devoted to meeting my clients where they are in their mental health journey and viewing them with a compassionate, holistic lens in order to better understand their lived experiences. I specialize in treating: suicidal ideation, self-harm, substance use/addiction, disordered eating, & emotion regulation concerns that accompany depression, anxiety, bipolar, & trauma/PTSD. There's an exhaustion & isolation that often come with these struggles. Clients I work with may feel trapped in a cycle, simultaneously yearning for change and fearing it. These behaviors & feelings can become deeply ingrained in one's identity, making the idea of letting go daunting. I want my clients to know there's more to them than their struggles. I'm here to support and guide them as they uncover their resilience and empowerment.

My greatest strength is empathy, the ability to put myself in the shoes of my client to understand what they are feeling. Sometimes the client needs to build a toolbox, and other times, we can teach the brain new ways of processing information.
