I found an unintentional niche when I started my journey as a therapist. Most of my clients come in with very high anxiety and a disconnected from their bodies. While some truly only have anxiety, many more have discovered childhood trauma buried deep inside. My biggest surprise though was the amount of women I have seen come in with anxiety and together we have discovered undiagnosed ADHD. It has been my absolute joy to help these women understand themselves and learn to work WITH their brains and reconnect with the bodies that often feel foreign to them.

My primary focus is helping clients build a fulfilling life based on their personal values & goals. I primarily work with older adolescents, adults, parents, and families with a variety of difficulties including: self-harm & suicidal behaviors, intense emotions/emotions that feel out of control, mood (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety, and substance use disorders. I have extensive training treating disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well. My style is collaborative and compassionate, as well as evidence based, meaning I use treatments that have been supported by research to show they are effective.

I'm trained in trauma and resiliency counseling - many experiences can be traumatic - hurricanes, flooding, divorce, accidents, assault, chronic pain, work issues - even COVID is considered traumatic to some people. Anxiety and depression are increasing as the long-term effects of COVID are being discovered.
