I want to be there on your journey by holding the space for you, helping you process your thoughts and feelings, learning who you are and what you need, and supporting you as you learn new skills, strengthen the ones you already have, process your trauma safely, and develop and/or nurture healthy relationships.

My passion lies in helping survivors of trauma and I am deeply invested in serving LGBTQIA+, polyam, consensual non-monogamy (ENM), kink, and all sexual minority communities. I am also sex work allied and provide non-judgmental support for individuals who are, or have been in the sex industry.

We all have our ups and downs in life and sometimes life can feel really harsh when we least expect it. Thoughts and memories from your past may be intruding in your current life. In therapy, you will learn to stop the panic, stop the racing thoughts, feel less sad and process the parts of your past that continue to effect you today. I work collaboratively with individuals, drawing on techniques, like EMDR and sand tray, to assist you in moving beyond the symptoms of your struggles to uncover the underlying causes of “stuckness” or suffering.

Be heard and acknowledged. My goal in therapy is to provide you with nonjudgmental and empathetic listening, so you can safely explore your current and core issues. In my experience, the catharsis of sharing your thoughts and feelings leads to discovering your strengths and deficits. I truly believe that it is upon these strengths that you will build a repertoire of cognitive, emotional, and physical coping skills to improve the quality of your life. Sessions will be individually tailored to your needs and goals, whether it be developing skills to combat current issues, processing past trauma, or reexamining overall perspectives.

I enjoy working with adults who are struggling with sexual trauma recovery, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, changes in spirituality/loss of faith, and people who are working through existential issues. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming person and therapist.

I work with adolescents and adults who look to resolve struggles with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsions, complex trauma, childhood trauma, dissociation, and addiction. Jean graduated with my MSW from Edinboro University. She has spent her professional life being a part of the helping relationship. Jean had the opportunity to work at the forensic unit, domestic violence shelter, addiction facility, and as a clinical program director for an adolescent facility. She values learning from my clients as well as sharing the knowledge.

Traditional talk therapy doesn't always give us the results we want, especially when working with trauma. I work best with clients who prefer a direct approach and have been trying to heal from trauma for a prolonged period of time without a lot of results. I found that spirituality is an important part of the trauma healing process. To me, spirituality looks like connecting with nature and the earth and expands beyond the traditional perspectives. Trauma often comes with addictions and I do not take the abstinence-only perspective on addiction and tend to emphasize harm reduction as an alternative.

I believe that symptoms and diagnoses are signs of identity conflict and efforts to try and control situations that are outside of our control. My approach focuses on creating a therapeutic relationship to support those working towards trauma recovery, addressing dissociation, fostering personality development, emotional regulation or helping process burnout with fellow therapist and healthcare professionals.
