Hello! I am currently a graduate student working towards becoming a licensed professional therapist (LPC), and will be graduating in May 2024. I have been working in the mental health field with children since obtaining my bachelor's in 2020. While my career is just beginning, I have had experience as an intern at Susquehanna University in the counseling center in addition to almost a year with Connections Relational Therapy.

Harrison McCormick, MSW/BCD is a board-certified diplomate providing counseling on an advanced-standing level nationally. I am a licensed clinical social worker, having practiced psychotherapy with forty years experience. I participate in ongoing continuing education, keeping me current and updated so that I can provide an expertise to a myriad of problems. As a result, I can provide a wide range of invaluable skills and experience, depending on the problems, whether it be relationships, life crisis, a chronic problem, or health-related. I work with most insurance companies and private pay rate is $95 an hour.

I joined Rooted Relational Therapy in 2021, with 30 years of experience doing outpatient and in-home therapy. Providing in-home services and crisis intervention really honed my ability to think on my feet! My work in local county mental health services provided me with a vast knowledge of local resources. I earned both my degrees in Psychology, first a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State and then a Master of Arts in Psychology from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In my professional work, I take a strength-based, trauma-informed approach, that is sensitive to cultural diversity and attachment injuries.

In my 30 years of experience, I have worked with people presenting concerns ranging from life crisis to significant mental health symptoms. I have experience with populations across the life span and conduct therapy with individuals, couples, and families. My approach is Transtheoretical: meaning I understand a problem from many perspectives and offer interventions which best fit each individual circumstance. I welcome your call and your questions.
