I specialize in helping clients who are seeking a deeper connection to their own souls. Many of my clients struggle with a core sense of unworthiness and a tendency to prioritize others over themselves. They struggle with authenticity, self-esteem, feeling like a fraud, and setting boundaries due to early patterns learned in unhealthy family environments. This can result in feelings of isolation and being misunderstood. My approach is safe and supportive and is trauma-informed and spiritually integrative. I help creative, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, empathetic, and spiritually intuitive clients feel seen, heard, and affirmed.

I use a mindfulness-based holistic therapeutic approach focusing on the whole person including body, mind, spirit, and community. My approach to counseling is client focused, culturally sensitive, and integrative.

Sessions with me are peaceful and nurturing, giving you the time and space to really relax and get in touch with your natural healing capacity. I specialize in families with children under 10, including preschool and younger, offering a variety of play and art activities that help reduce stress and improve coping skills. I actively involve caregivers during sessions and with bonding activities for home.

My life's passions include honest self-examination and personal betterment, and I am blessed to be able to exercise these passions every day when I work with my clients. The decision to seek counseling is often difficult as it involves being vulnerable and confronting sensitive issues. I pride myself in my natural ability to make my clients feel comfortable discussing such issues by providing a warm and nonjudgemental counseling environment. I focus on treating individuals with all levels of depression and anxiety, as well as relationship concerns, though I am experienced in treating a wide range of presenting issues.

I am a full-time Assistant Professor in Messiah University’s Graduate Counseling Program. I also works part-time as a clinician and am the owner of Courageous Hope Counseling LLC. I identify as an immigrant woman of Indian decent and have lived in several countries. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Elizabethtown College, a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University, a doctoral degree from Shippensburg University in Counselor Education and Supervision. and a postgraduate certificate in Social Justice from Harvard University.

My current focus is in working with those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD - Bravery, Perseverance, Determination) or have the symptoms of BPD (fear of abandonment, fear of being alone, low self esteem, lack of sense of self, mood swings, splitting, anger, emptiness, impulsivity, and lack of organization and structure), parents of those diagnosed with BPD, and all issues of high conflict divorce including Co-parenting, Reunification, and Custody Evaluation. I also enjoy couples work & use a Polarity framework. Treatments are Relationally-Focused, Trauma-Informed, and Evidence-Based.
