Recuerdo el momento cuando mis amigxs me recomendaron ir a terapia. La verdad, no creí que eso funcionaría para mí o para mi familia. Tenía miedo de hablar de mis cosas personales con alquien desconocido, me hacía sentir mucha inseguridad y me daba miedo sentirme vulnerable. Pero también sabía que no me gustaba la soledad y el malestar emocional que sentía. No quería que me dieran pastillas para aliviar mi dolor. No quería sentirme como un ratón de laboratorio. Me costó trabajo pedir ayuda. Quería que alguien me escuchara y entendiera, porque ya no quería sentir esa soledad y desesperación.

Hola! I'm Aurelio. I provide IFS-informed EMDR and relationship therapy in English and Spanish for adults, including those who identify as people of color, polyam/non-monog, neurodiverse, kinky, LGBQ+, and trans/gender expansive. I also support folks exploring identities, and those healing from trauma and emotional pain. My liberation and healing are bound up with yours. I see healing as an ongoing process that we do for ourselves, our community, our ancestors, and the ones who will come after us. Most of my clients have some form of anxiety or depression. Often this is related to a difficulty with their family, partner(s) or colleagues. They want to feel secure and strong in the world and have better relationships. They are looking for meaning, relief, and self awareness. I see a lot of clients who need help getting over a breakup or navigating ENM. I view my clients as whole and complex beings who deserve to get to the root of their issues instead of treating symptoms one by one.
