I find it deeply rewarding to help people decrease the suffering in their lives and move toward greater fulfillment. Working together, we would identify and develop your strengths, remove obstacles, and build skills to reach your goals. Cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and in-depth approaches such as IFS are especially useful in my work. I have an expertise in anxiety based problems, as well as with relationship concerns and depression. My style is interactive. Clients find that I create a warm environment of acceptance, insight and compassion in which people feel safe to take risks to explore themselves and to learn new skills.
Dr. Adelman has over 25 years of experience as a psychologist. He holds advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania as well as Bryn Mawr College. He was also an adjunct clinical professor at Drexel University for over 20 years.
