It has been an honor to serve and be invited into countless lives that span across cultures and intersections of identity. I remember the vulnerability, courage and boldness it took to begin my own therapeutic journey. I know that feeling bold, courageous, and empowered might be incongruent with what is felt when starting down this path. In fact, sad, tired, frustrated, or misunderstood might be more accurate. In either scenario, I intend to partner with you, and walk this path together. My training in marriage and family therapy has supported my understanding of individuals by seeing them from a systemic lens.

"Every Conversation Matters." Counselors facilitate healing through a process of genuine dialogue with their clients. In a world of challenges or going through a life transition can feel overwhelming. These challenges may bring about anxiety, hopelessness, and a sense of isolation, but you do not have to face them alone. Having a safe space to process everyday obstacles-whether from past or present challenges, and identifying solutions that works with a person that is nonjudgmental, and will help you to get to the root of the problem so you can begin to rebuild your life or your relationship is what makes all the difference.

Currently only accepting EMDR/Brainspotting Intensives which is 3-6 hours per day. and an out of pocket expense. My approach is holistic, with an awareness of cultural and systemic impacts on mental health. My goal in treatment is to help individuals find more effective ways to live healthier, happier, and more successful lives. What this looks like for each person depends on individualized treatment goals. I tailor my treatment approach to the unique needs and strengths of each person. Among my specialties is the treatment of anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, depression, performance improvement etc…

If you are overly concerned about pleasing others and have difficulty saying “no,” you probably end up feeling frustrated and resentful. Dr. Weicker was originally trained as a medical doctor " La Sapienza" University of Rome Italy in 1988. After moving to the United States in 1989, she embarked upon a new career in brain and colon cancer research at RI Hospital- Brown University for 4 years and a Thomas Jefferson for 2 years. Dr. Weicker also has been a College Professor in Anatomy and Physiology Pathophysiology, Nutrition and Herbs and Medicine college courses for 20 years, Penn State, Alvernia University, and Lehigh Carbon Community College. She has since earned a Master's Degree in Health Care from Alvernia University in 2004
