I am a counselor and a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. This has lent me a unique therapeutic style: balancing respect and discipline with warmth and flexibility. It is my belief and confidence that each and every person is capable of making choices and decisions that are right for them, especially in regard to their culture, race, ethnicity, disability, and/or identity. In my experience, I have found that the most successful clients are the ones who have a desire for change, and are motivated to work for it and ask for help when needed. My hope is that my clients feel empowered throughout therapy.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and older adults with various mental health diagnoses. Areas of focus have included: depression, anxiety, grief, gender dysphoria, stress, trauma, DID, substance use, bipolar, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and ADHD. I also affirm LGBTQ and have had experience working with LGBTQ clients.

I am Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with active licenses in Ohio, Hawai'i, & Texas. I am a trauma informed practitioner with 9 years of experience in Zen and Integral Psychotherapy, and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I am Safe Zone trained and affirming of all gender identities & expressions. I am experienced in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and other communities of diverse relational norms. I am skilled in healing religious trauma and renewing spiritual connection.

Leah Blankenship (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional counselor, who works with children, adolescents, adults, and groups. Her specialty interests include: women’s, men’s, and gender issues; career development; addictions; and trauma. She integrates art therapy, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), gestalt, and multicultural counseling into practice. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor in the state of Ohio. My specialties include the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related disorders. I offer diagnostic assessment and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but use a combination of therapy techniques based on patients’ needs including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques with an emphasis on social skills training. We also offer therapeutic/relaxation massage, Reiki therapy, and guided meditation.
