I am a clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience working with people struggling with relationship issues, creative blocks, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic and acute illness (including cancer), and trauma. My style is pragmatic and flexible; there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to individual therapy. I listen with empathy to create a safe environment, while also providing valuable and straightforward feedback. In addition to therapy, I offer psychological evaluation services: assessment of neuro-cognitive functioning and emotional dynamics, as well as pre-adoptive parental evaluations.
I have helped individuals balance life/work, confront creative blocks, and with parenting issues, including infertility, pre/post natal depression and anxiety, pre/post adoption stressors. I have extensive experience with infants/toddlers where risk factors are present, including physical/mental illness/disability (parental or child), divorce, trauma, loss.
I offer one time consultations for those needing more information about psychological evaluations, with the fee of $250 for that session going toward the evaluation if you decide to proceed. For parents participating in pre-adoptive evaluations, I offer a free post-adoption "check-up" in my office or your home (NY City environs).
