Dr. Michele Winchester-Vega and Associates is a group private practice with over 10 LICENSED professionals that specialize in a variety of modalities and treatment specialties. Treatment is offered to those aged 6 and above and individual, family and group modalities are available. We are involved in teaching and hold faculty positions as well as providing consultation/ supervision to other professionals.

Typically our initial counseling sessions conversations are casual, it is a platform to ensure that I am the right fit for you.

I work with unique individuals who are seemingly successful and happy but deep inside feel lost, alone, even if they are in a relationship, and often feel like they don't belong or struggle to be present in life. With expertise gathered from years of experience across borders, time zones and cultures, I dive alongside men and women into the deep ocean of darkness— including all types of diversity, in-between/intersecting identities, worldwide travelers, high-achieving/performing and creative people. I am Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) certified and was formerly a clinical supervisor and psychologist at Johns Hopkins University.

I am passionate about relationship dynamics, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, communication and intimacy with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I counsel individuals, couples and moresomes on creative relationship structures such as consensual non-monogamy. I also work extensively with mood related challenges, including anxiety, depression and OCD, as well as career transitions. As a member of the polyamorous, LGBTQ, and burner communities, I share my extensive personal and professional experience with clients.

My clients want to improve mood, self-esteem, relationships, sleeping habits, etc., and come to realize that something happens within the client/therapist relationship that does not happen alone. My typical client shows improvement within a few months, and then eventually meets with me less frequently (for 'tune-ups'). And, my clients sometimes return to sessions with me after leaving therapy, if things begin to go awry.

Hi, I'm Kate! I'm an LCSW based in NYC and the lower Hudson Valley. Right now, I provide several telehealth-only services: counseling, life coaching, dating/sex coaching, and general psychotherapy. I have an MA in Human Sexuality from NYU, and a masters in Social Work from Fordham University, and ten years' clinical experience. I work with young adults, and adults, helping them with a variety of issues.
