We at Changing Lives provides service to the following individuals: child, adolescents, adults, geriatric and the LGBTQ populations. Our staff consists of highly qualified. experienced and knowledgeable Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (Associates) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (Associates). Our licensed staff provide community based, office based and remote counseling. CLTS also works with preferred providers to provide medication to our patients.

I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) and bicultural professional who has worked with abused children, adolescents, adults and their families who have experienced trauma. I have also worked with individuals with other mental health disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, impulse control, addiction disorders, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.).

Journey Through Life, PLLC sees all kinds of families that maybe hurting from divorce, grief, blended families and broken relationships. In addition, the practice specializes in significant and marital relationships. The ideal is for a family that may not have the skills to see past the forest, but will be open to the infinite possibilities. Individual, Group Clinical Supervision, and Parenting Workshops are offered at the practice as well.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who was trained at Columbia University, New York City, and the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, New York City. I have worked in a variety of settings in New York City and here in North Carolina. I view therapy as a way of working on relationships or issues that are causing distress or problems in one's life. I use a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I am a Humanist in terms of my philosophy. I see life as a journey. Therapy can make that journey more fulfilling.

Deciding to start counseling is an important step towards living the life you want. I am dedicated to helping people live healthier and happier lives. In sessions I help people make meaning of and transform overwhelming parts of their lives. This includes healing self-destructive behaviors, trauma, relationship struggles, and difficult life transitions. If we embark on this journey I will assist you in gaining an understanding of how difficult thoughts, feelings, relationships, and behaviors may protect you from things you fear, but hinder your happiness.Through this process you can make connections that foster acceptance, strength, flexibility, and healing.

I have 20 years of experience in the mental health field providing treatment to children, adolescents, and adults in both an agency and private practice setting. Life Is A Journey and at times difficult and I enjoy helping others to find their strengths which helps to gain empowerment to enhance their lives and find resolutions.

Over the past 30 years I have enjoyed working with clients of all ages, from children to adults. As an art therapist, I use the tools of the creative arts and traditional counseling methods to help people identify their obstacles and find more peace and resolution in their lives. I work with individuals, couples and families. My focus over the past 15 years has been with children, gay and lesbian issues, couples, stress management for working parents, and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.
