As a scientist that has worked for a decade in drug metabolism research, both in Italy and the US, I always attempt to utilize evidence based interventions with my clients. When dealing with 'softer' sciences surrounding the mental health field, the best course of treatment is often difficult to ascertain. I strive to provide a collaborative, empirical, transparent process which adopts the best evidence based approaches to your unique, personal treatment needs. As a sex addiction therapist, trained EMDR clinician, and nationally certified psychotherapist, I work with individuals struggling with intense urges, emotions, and conflict. New clients come to me feeling isolated, in pain, and on edge due to having nowhere to express their toughest emotions. Many grew up in a traumatic family of origin with messages like "Suck it up" and "Don't cry" being taught to them. I work with individuals and couples to help them discover their greatest assets and work through areas of growth in a compassionate manner. In couples work, I offer couples assessments to gain perspective on issues as well as workbooks and tools for conflict resolution and better communication. I especially appreciate working with premarital couples who are wanting to set a sturdy foundation for marriage in premarital counseling.

I typically work with adults (over 35 and often older folks above the age of 60) of various races & ethnicities, genders & sexualities, religions & spiritualities. All are welcome. Jungian analysis is a journey of profound self-discovery. It may be that the depths of the psyche ask for a different life experience! Symptoms like depression, anxiety, relationship / sexuality issues can begin the exploration of what a more meaningful & interesting life might look like. Hi! My name is Emma. I offer an alternative, holistic, and spiritual approach to therapy for people in their 20s and 30s. I help you get to the root of your problems and heal past wounds so you can feel more conscious, integrated, and whole. I use IFS therapy, Depth Hypnosis, Shamanic Counseling, Buddhist Psychology, nutrition, Psychedelic Integration, and TRE, all of which I am trained and/or certified in. Ms. Kientzle (she/they), MA NCC LPC CCTP, RYT, EDMR-I, has been practicing as a licensed professional counselor for over 12 years in the St. Louis Metro area. Her areas of focus are trauma, pediatrics, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Ms. Kientzle is especially passionate about assisting transgender clients navigate gender-affirming therapies and helping people achieve their full potential. Modalities: Art Therapy, yoga therapy, EMDR, and trauma-focused approaches are utilized both in-person and via telehealth.
