Society often makes it difficult for people to express themselves in this way, and therefore I try to offer a space for clients to freely explore all aspects of their sexuality without judgement. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to develop sexual communication skills, process shame associated with sexuality, and learn how to practice safer (more pleasurable) sex. I have experience with many types of clients, including LGBTQ+ people, femme-people, sex workers, and people discovering themselves later in life.

Lily has over a decade of experience serving individuals, couples, adolescents, families & relationship systems. She specializes in eating disorders, sexual disorders and relationship issues. Further, she is skilled in addressing mood disorders (anxiety, depression, OCD), trauma-related disorders (sexual, physical, emotional abuse, PTSD), and personality disorders (borderline personality disorder, dissociative identity disorder). Her integrative approach includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Systems Theory, the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other modalities in order to meet each client's individual needs.

I love working with best friends who are trying to get their sexual spark back. Many of my clients have been together for years and actually get along pretty well. They have good communication, they are partnered well and they treat each other with respect. However, they struggle to want to have sex with one another. They love each other and enjoy each other's time, but they struggle to take sexual chances, try new things and have fun in the bedroom. They essentially have "friend zoned" each other. My work is to help give these couples that special nudge to make sex a priority and enjoy sex again as a team.

I have learned that no one is immune to mental health stress, trauma, OR substance abuse. Most really can find recovery and wellness. In 2000, I began my career providing counseling services in a treatment center and have continued to specialize in coping methods vs. "using." Relationships are sacred. I work with all arrangements of families (CNM & polyamory). Expert family/couples counseling requires expert training. The Gottman Method is taught in three levels and I completed all three in 2017. My intensive couples approach is successful in improving communication and provides many tools and results in a reasonable time frame.

What I have found in my 20 years of experience in practicing, teaching and publishing in the field of therapy is that I learn something new from every client that I treat. The goal of therapy, in my opinion, is to provide enough emotional safety for clients to examine their lives and create a narrative that allows for growth and connection.
