You may have arrived on my profile during a time of transition and change in your life accompanied by heightened anxiety, depression, and a need for relief. Over the years, I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, gender and identity exploration, body liberation/neutrality (HAES focused), ADD, and trauma. While I have worked with clients from various backgrounds and provide care for a variety of issues, I have extensive experience and passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals healing from internalized weight stigma, body discomfort, and diet culture.
I believe that there is no one way to work towards our goals and I look holistically at the various impacts to an individual’s mental health. In order to create individualized treatment for each client, I utilize several theories including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, person-centered, and behavioral while prioritizing a culturally sensitive approach.
My counseling style is empathetic, warm, and reflects my personality in order to create a safe space where individuals can come to be their true selves and receive support as they explore the impacts to their well-being.
