I provide psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to adults in a thoughtful, warm, compassionate atmosphere. I treat a spectrum of issues ranging from the commonly practical to the loftily complex, including trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, loss, sexuality, gender, LGBTQ, family, relationships, marriage, professional, identity, existential and spiritual confusion. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychoanalytic and contemplative theories of human development, function, and dysfunction. I am dedicated to helping my clients grow through their issues in a safe, comfortable, confidential space.
I earned a BA in political theory from Columbia University, a master's degree in Buddhism from Harvard University, and an MSW from Boston College. I completed a clinical fellowship in psychotherapy at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates; and completed psychoanalytic training at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP).
My psychotherapy practice is also complemented and informed by my concurrent study and practice of Buddhist meditation and psychology which I have pursued for 30 years, including the completion of 100-day monastic silent retreats for five consecutive years.
