I see patients searching for meaning and fulfillment in their lives, or wrestling with existential issues of loneliness, a sense of loss or mild to profound disconnection. Sometimes this coincides with anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulty relating to others, or a lack of comfort living in their own body.
My approach is to engage my patient in a focused conversation about his or her troubles. My goal is to help my patient overcome difficulties, face difficult decisions, increase pleasure and satisfaction in working and loving, and bolster resiliencies.
I have 46 years treating patients across the life span. I am a trained contemporary psychoanalyst offering short and long-term therapy. Treatment goals are made in collaboration with my patients. I have special interests in development and issues of parenthood as they affect men and women.
