I will use a variety of therapeutic interventions (CBT, REBT, DBT) to help you understand how negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are linked. I use TF-CBT and EMDR to work specifically with those who struggle with complex trauma. Kristina Turner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has 11 years of experience in the mental health field. Kristina has worked in a variety of clinical settings including state hospitals treating chronic mental illnesses. She has experience in clinical outpatient settings focusing on the treatment of personality disorders and mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, as well as trauma. Kristina’s most recent experience is in helping others overcome addiction through medical detox, rehabilitation, and recovery-based group therapy.

My name is Samantha Wright-Cooksey, MSW, LCSW. I have been a therapist for over 20 years with combined experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I have provided professional services in outpatient, home, community and school-based settings. I have worked in addictions as well as end of life issues. I utilize strength-based and solution focused techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and problem solving skills training. I offer in person and telehealth options for therapy. I accept most insurance, EAP, and self pay options.

I am a trauma-focused, mindfulness utilizing master's level practitioner who finds satisfaction in sessions centered around what you need to learn to be your best and whole self. I also am able to work with young children in play therapy, which is a modality focused on communication via play and kinetic learning.

My practice is founded on meeting people where they are and helping them get to where they want to be. I am keenly non-judgmental and strive to create a safe and protected place to figure out the challenges and gifts in life and in ourselves; then help plan what to do with those challenges and gifts to live content and fulfilled lives.
